Miles of beaches, contrasted by stunning mountain scenery
and national parks The
area has a combination of long stretches of beach, where you can walk for miles,
and numerous quiet coves. Everywhere you look inland towards the hills and
mountains you see hilltop towns and villages, such as Gerace, with it’s 500
year old Cathedral, to explore. Art and architecture abounds, with evidence of a
history dating back to pre-roman times, and as far back as the Greek communities

food of the region is as diverse as the area itself, and such incredible value
for money compared to other Mediterranean resort areas. Apart from all the fresh
fish and seafood, the local wine is a well kept secret and very good, and you
simply cannot miss your morning espresso or latte while you try one of their
treats from the pastelleria counter. Most
of the properties are located right on the sea front, either in resort towns or
within walking distance of a resort centre. Places such as Bianco, Roccella Jonica, Caulonia and Monasterace are all popular
holiday destinations with beautiful sandy beaches, plenty of shops, bars,
restaurants and facilities. Water sports and especially scuba divers will enjoy
the Ionian coast and sea, particularly those interested in underwater
archaeology. Roccella Jonica is a favored modern resort with an
air of glamour. Every August an International Jazz Festival is held attracting
musicians from all over the world. Fabulous beaches, open park and boardwalk areas all ideal for an evening
walk. Excellent restaurants with fresh seafood,
local produce and regional wine all contribute to the very relaxed yet vibrant
atmosphere of Roccella. Caulonia itself is actually an historic hilltop town some
300 yards from the coast, but our properties here are along the seafront and
marina area. No wonder they have named the apartments Vista Montagna with these
views. Local festivals in the
summer, Greek and Roman remains and history make Caulonia Marina a very
interesting place. Monasterace is a smaller town, also with an old
